I am always thrilled to discover all the new Indian restaurants that open in town and having said that there is a new restaurant in town with Dipna Anand London launching her exhilarating venture at the dreamy Somerset House.
Truly, London has the best to offer for all cuisines and I can vouch for that when it comes to Indian food!

Decor at Dipna Anand London
Not only does the location give a Bollywood vibe, but so does the restaurant with its décor and 90s-hit Bollywood playlist overlooking London Eye and Thames.
South Wing of the Somerset House is the perfect location for Dipna Anand’s new venture called Dipna’s Restaurant & Bar serving authentic Punjabi (north Indian) and South Indian cuisine reflecting her family’s heritage dating back to the 1950s.
The restaurant’s blue walls and Indian-inspired wall decor provide a relaxing atmosphere.
A la Carte Dining
Certainly, Dipna’s unique meat and veggie thali is the ideal way to try new flavors.
The meat thali includes lamb samosa, Dhal makhani, and Delhi-style makhana chicken (hailing from Delhi, how can I not like a good Delhi-style chicken).
Keema peas were the perfect accompaniment to the thali, along with buttery naan and mango chutney. As I write this, my mouth is watering and I’m needing more.
I tried my friend’s vegetable thali and loved it, too. The Saag Paneer, Chana Masala, and crisp onion bhaji were enough to send you into a food coma while you admired the London Eye.
Desserts at Dipna Anand London
Indeed, we were stuffed after dinner, but it was hard to ignore the dessert selection because the desserts at our neighbor’s table looked exquisite.
Additionally, we chose Gulab jamun and Gajar ka halwa. The 90s Bollywood music, thick halwa, and soft Gulab jamuns made me nostalgic. Gajar ka halwa reminds me of my dad’s delectable halwa every winter. Each bite gave me a tremendous throwback.
Expert Conclusion:
What I loved about Dipna Anand’s newest is that not only was the food delicious giving you an authentic experience.
