We tried their limited edition Lobster Roll Hangover Kit, which was packed to the gills with sweet, lobstery flavour. The lobster croquettes were crunchy and delicious, but it was the lobster rolls that really made our mouths water.
They were very easy to make: we quickly toasted the brioche rolls in clarified butter, and then stuffed each one with a mountain of fresh Atlantic lobster. Two minutes later, we added a luxurious drizzle of even more butter, and the luscious rolls were ready.
We cannot describe these lobster rolls in any other words than earth-shatteringly delicious.

The meal kits from Mindful Chef don’t come straight from a restaurant – but they’re so delicious that they could have been! Mindful Chef focuses on healthy, seasonal and sustainable dining, without skimping on any of the flavour.
With over 20 sumptuous recipes to choose from each week, it was difficult for us to choose what to try. In the end, we chose one of their vegan recipe boxes, which took vegan cuisine to a height we didn’t know it could reach.
In one week, we made smoked tofu with lentils and cavolo nero, a vegan sausage and sage cassoulet, and a nut roast with cranberry gravy. The particular highlight for us was the butternut squash and chestnut pasanda, which gave us the cosy, warm feeling only a really good curry can give. The golden coconut squash, coconut milk and deep black rice made for a beautiful plate, which was only made better by pomegranate seeds that added winks of colour.

4. Where the Pancakes Are
Straight from the iconic brunch-obsessed restaurant is a meal kit that will wow you with every mouthful.
Their Christmas brunch box was our meal kit of choice – and what a choice it was! This kit had all the ingredients to make a very special breakfast: from prosecco to high-quality streaky bacon to 100% pure Canadian maple syrup.
But the real stars of the show were (naturally) the pancakes. These thick, fluffy American-style pancakes are truly some of the most awe-inspiring meals we’ve ever made. Whipped egg whites created meringue-like clouds that, when folded gently into the pancake batter, made a light and airy mix. Combined with the tangy buttermilk, we guarantee that you’ve never made pancakes like these before.

While the pancakes did require some elbow grease (we whipped the egg whites ourselves, as there wasn’t a mixer to hand), this is one of the London restaurant meal kits that is undoubtedly worth every single penny.
5. Zest London
From the minds of chefs Edward and Simon comes the best dining experience you’ve ever had in your life. This isn’t strictly a restaurant kit, because you won’t be doing the cooking yourself! Instead, these renowned chefs come to your home to personally cook for you. To top it off, they will also bring beautiful plates and wine glasses and clean up before they leave.
Their seasonally-inspired 6 course tasting menu includes (to name just a few) a fish course, main course, dessert and trio of petit fours for each person. We were treated with a goats cheese, truffle and pistachio parfait (it was even more amazing than it sounds!) plus their 72-hour braised beef short rib that melted like butter in our mouths.
But that’s not all – you can also add wine, champagne and canapes, or a cheese board on top of this divine dining experience. We particularly loved how the chefs explained the source of each ingredient and how our wines paired perfectly with each dish. It’s that attention to detail that elevated this fabulous meal from the ambrosian to the divine.
