The Atmosphere at STK Steakhouse Stratford
The atmosphere at STK Steakhouse Stratford is truly something special. As a matter of fact, the restaurant’s streamlined and contemporary decor immediately put me in the mood for a sophisticated meal.
The restaurant sits on the 18th floor of The Gantry and is not far from the station, which was quite convenient for me personally. I was lucky enough to snag a table by the window, and let me tell you, the view of the city below was stunning.
Additionally, the lights of the city twinkling below, coupled with the restaurant’s stylish decor, created a truly magical ambiance. It’s the perfect spot for a special night out with friends.
The decor is contemporary and sophisticated, with a mix of leather, wood, and metal accents that give it a chic and modern feel.
Starters
When it comes to starters at STK Steakhouse Stratford, I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. I decided to go with the ceviche, and I was not disappointed.
As a matter of fact, the ceviche was absolutely delicious and fresh, with a perfect balance of zingy flavors that got my taste buds going. However, the only downside was the crackers, I felt they could have been more generous, but that’s just a minor detail.
The calamari was another standout, the portion size was massive. It was crispy, and the accompanying sauce was the perfect complement to the dish.
Mains at STK Steakhouse Stratford
Oh my, the T-bone steak was out of this world, alongside all the trimmings we had ordered, including the truffle mac and cheese, asparagus, and triple-cooked chips.
The mac and cheese were so rich and indulgent that it could have been a meal on its own. To top it off, we had the lobster tail as a surf and turf option. What a delicious delight, it was cooked in garlic butter and bursting with flavour..
The sauces we chose were chimichurri, peppercorn, and red wine, the rich red wine sauce being the particular favourite.
Sadly, I had no room for dessert as the steak was huge, definitely enough food for at least 3-4 people, not two (along with all of the sides).
Final Verdict
I have to say, my experience at this steakhouse was truly fantastic. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect for a romantic evening or a special occasion. With regular in-house DJs spinning live music, there’s no doubt that you will have a magical evening.
The T-bone steak, truffle mac & cheese, steamed asparagus, as well as triple-cooked chips, were all delicious. The surf and turf option with the lobster tail was a real treat, as well as the red wine sauce, was the standout sauce.
I highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for a high-quality meal and excellent service.
